Sharepoint selectors in Admin Center don't work in IE 6 on Server VM (MOSS 2007)

The Sharepoint Central Administration site uses a selector control that I talk about a lot (for selecting site collections and web applications in the first place)

I have MOSS 2007 installed on a virtual machine. When I open Central Administration from outside the virtual machine from my desktop, everything works fine. But when I open it from IE 6 installed in a VM, the selector just won't open the popup when I click on them and there seem to be no JavaScript errors.

I suppose it has something to do with the browser configuration in the VM, but I don't know what to look for.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

@Edit: I solved this problem by installing IE7 on a virtual machine.
