SCSF (Smart Client Factory Software) is a set of tools (using the Automation Automation extensions for Visual Studio) for creating applications using the Application Block for Composite User Interface.

The Composite UI Application Block is an application framework based on the Composite UI pattern, mainly providing plumbing for loosely coupled user interfaces. It was largely based on the ObjectBuilder's Dependency Injection container, which was developed inside Microsoft's models and methods.

If I recall correctly, Acropolis was going to be a "reboot" of the Composite UI Application Block. It is no longer being handled , but (at least on Wikipedia) some of its concepts are included in current Microsoft products such as Silverlight.

The Acropolis has yet to be released. SCSF is available now? Not sure what else you can find out as one of them doesn't technically exist :)
