Why do you have subscribers on the same database server? Why do you need multiple publishers in one database? Perhaps you should explain the problem you are trying to solve.

Only one publisher is required for each database. One distributor can distribute many subscribers. The distribution agent is usually located on a different server to the publisher; subscribers can be located on the same server as the distributor.

The maximum number of subscribers is mainly limited by the network bandwidth and the capacity of the disks on which the publisher's transaction log file is stored.

I haven't heard of a "logical" post / subscription limit. Your limitation will either be related to licensing (some versions of SQL have limited publishing rights) or hardware issues as noted by @Mitch
