Exporting Crystal Reports to Excel

In the current C # application that I maintain the maintenance on, we have updated Visual Studio 2008 from Visual Studio 2003. We have always used the included Crystal Reports that came with Visual Studio.

Since the update, we have found an issue with our reports when exporting to excel. If a column in the detail section is NULL, then all other data in the row is shifted to the left. Casting data to the wrong columns.

I searched and checked properties and came up empty handed. If someone can throw me a lifebuoy or point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful.

I found that with CR, if you know the data will mostly be dumped to excel, I remove ALL formatting that CR can do. Does this relate to your report?

What is a CR set to execute properties with NULL values in it?
