Do you have data on how Alfresco Community behaves with many users? (100>)

My company is going to use Alfresco as an intranet. I think this is not the fastest application and I wonder if it can work with several hundred users. Do you have any experience with this or a larger group?

I work for Alfresco and I can say that we have clients with hundreds of thousands of users. We use many public sites (see Client List), among which Adobe Share uses Alfresco as its backend - it has millions of registered and thousands of concurrent users.
