Selenium - Exception when executing selenium.stop ()

I am using Selenium for testing web applications. After completing all testing, when the "selenium.stop ()" command is executed, I get the following exception:

It looks like you are shutting down the Selenium server before the command to close your browser session. Try to comment out the line with selenium.shutDownSeleniumServer ();

I was getting the same error. I cleared the jar files and added them again and the exception was gone.
