Will Googlebot read microformat data inserted via javascript?

I've already tried Google's Microformats Testing Tool, but it's not clear to me that it works the same way as Googlebot - it seems reasonable that Googlebot would have more options than a simple web testing tool.

So I'm wondering - does anyone have any real experience in successfully getting a Googlebot to parse microformat data inserted via javascript (e.g. external script via document.write).

Any reputable source would be great. I am now completely flying on this. Thank!

Google crawler will not execute Javascript on the page. Your microformat is not written or interpreted by Googlebot.

We need to update this answer. Ned's answer was correct at the time, but Google can now do JS and AJAX , according to SearchEngineLand, which I mean yes, microdata will be read by GoogleBot if generated in Javascript.

Sorry, I have no real life experience yet. I just get microdata 3 years after @tbarkow, but SearchEngineLand has always been pretty reliable. It's the same with SearchEngineWatch .
