I am getting an error while compiling my VSTO (Visual Studio Tools for Office) project in VS.
It says "The value is not within the expected range." and "An error occurred during installation"
Gocha. the path of my project was too deep.
Ans: Move some folders up (in Windows Explorer folder tree) and try rebuild / again.

I got the same problem when I linked the installation vsto to a file vsto .
vsto
Publish your app and install install and the problem went away.
Publish => Project Properties / Publish / Select Folder Path / Publish Now
