PNRP name resolution problem

I am trying to make a PNRP connection between a Windows XP machine and a Windows Vista machine on my internal network (as a first step to get it working from outside my network).

I have installed WICN on my Vista machine. I can ping WICN from the same Vista machine (hardly really surprising), but I can't get it to run from the XP machine.

I used the following command to ensure that the global cloud on the Vista machine is in a healthy state.

I also added an exception for UDP port 3540 in Windows Firewall (do I need to do something with my broadband router?).

I have also tried different things from the following link ( http://blogs.msdn.com/p2p/archive/2007/07/24/pnrp-debugging-guide-part-1.aspx ) but with no success.

Any suggestions to fix the name resolution issue.

WICN only works with Vista and above. Try to create a name using "netsh p2p pnrp" or PNRP API. Use this PNRP name for ipv6 resolution.
