Picasa custom button issue

I started to create a custom Picasa button to upload some photos to a website. I followed the directions here . It works fine so far, but now I made a small change to the button and picasa won't update the button no matter what I try.

Adding a link like this:

to the page with access to your PBZ file will cause Picasa to open and set the button. I made a small change and tried again. It refreshes once, but now it refuses. I tried to change button name, button version, nothing works. Only the original button remains in Picasa. I even remove the button from picasa, reload just in case it is somewhere in memory, and then tried again and only the original button remained.

The google group related to the API doesn't seem very active. Another person asked about it, but there was no answer. Searching the internet found no other answers. I hope someone has experience with this.

I found a folder of buttons in the picasa folder on my hard drive, but my custom button was not there. I have no idea why it keeps finding the old button.

I am using Picasa 3.1.0 on Windows XP if that matters.

So the question is, does anyone have any experience with creating these custom buttons and / or have encountered this situation before?
