Can we move SharePoint into the site hierarchy?

Question

I have a SharePoint with local intranet link as http: // shserver / Sites / LAPP / HR / LA . I want to move the LA site to the following location http: // shserver / Sites / LAPP / LA .

Is this possible with some tool or the only way is to completely recreate the site at the new url location.
