Can VS2010 cause any problems on Win7?

I want to install Visual Studio 2010 in parallel with 2008 version on Win7. Could this cause some problems?

I have installed Windows 7 on my computer at the moment and I have not seen anything suspicious. I am now doing C # development (no web development or ASP).

If you're really unsure, set up a virtual machine and try installing it there and see if there are any issues for your specific environment.

I am running Visual Studio 2008 and Visual Studio 2010 Beta 1 side by side on Windows 7 (RTM) and I still have any issues.

I have it side by side on my Windows 7 machine and have not noticed any issues (Desktop, WPF, WCF, Web or otherwise).

That being said, Visual Studio 2010 is still beta ... and shouldn't be installed on a production machine. Use the virtual machine only to be safe.

We have multiple machines running both VS05 and VS08 (on vista) so I figure this combo won't hurt ...

One thing I have come across is that M $ VS Version Selector picks VS2010 for most files if you open them with Windows Explorer. Since I am only testing new features of vs2010, when using vs2008 in production, this event is usually undesirable. Big deal? Not at all, as a visit to "Set Associations" might fix this ... I wonder if there are settings for the vs ... selector?
