What's the best phone for programming on Verizon?

What is the best geek phone in your opinion for Verizon Wireless to design for? I want to write a location based program, but I'm not sure which platform to set up.

Can you provide any recommendations?

It looks like the geek's latest sensation is the Blackberry Storm, but I'm holding onto something better.

I have a T-Mobile G1 and in my opinion this is the best geek computer. Unfortunately, according to The Register, Verizon may not be receiving Android phones.

I have a moto q9c - its minisd slot allows me to insert a Wi-Fi card into it: "Unfortunately, that means I have to pull out the memory card, but it's not such a big problem. Honestly, I would have held on with that. the moment when the next motorizer will soon be finished and will be integrated into Wi-Fi.

Honestly, I'm waiting for Agora (Android phone is sold directly, not bundled with any particular network).

I can only tell you about the phone I have with Verizon. This is Motorola Q and I can write programs for it using the .Net Compact Framework.

I am currently weighing a touch pro against a storm.

Any Blackberry device will be your best bet. I especially like that Pearl is caused by its low cost and small profile.

I would definitely not go with a "locked" device or phone that only supports BREW or some paid software and distributions (iPhones are an exception, their development costs are tiny) platform.

Check out the Blackberry Developers Zone offered by RIM. This will have everything you need to get started.
