What are the benefits if the standard supports SOAP envelopes

because I read that one of the benefits of WS-Discovery is that it "Support both SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2 Convelopes" so what?

There are a few minor differences between messages generated according to the two SOAP standards - the fact that both of these supports are supported increases the likelihood of interoperability with services built on different tool tables / platforms.

I think I finally found the answer to my question, if the standard supports SOAP envelopes, this benefits all the benefits of SOAP. how to work on different operating systems, with different technologies and programming languages, and using the large number of development tools available for SOAP
