Required Flash Player for Flash Catalyst
I know Flash Catalyst is still in beta, but I am trying to look to the future. Many of our users are on intranets whose IT staff take a long time to update Flash Player on the user's computers. Most users are currently on Flash Player 9.
So my question is, will SWF files created with Flash Catalyst be Flash Player 10?

The Flex 4 Gumbo materials on which the catalyst is based currently requires Flash 9. But the catalyst is likely within a year from delivery. There are good chances of changing. Especially if Catalyst is built to use the new font rendering system in Flash 10.
It also means that applications built using the catalyst are likely 18 months away.
