SSRS Encryption keys are lost on two machines at the same time

Two installations of SSRS 2005 on two separate machines in my store seem to have lost their encryption keys at exactly the same time. These are development machines with development version of SQL Server 2005, so I hope that maybe someone has an explanation for this. Yesterday both machines started reporting an error:

"The report server cannot decrypt the symmetric key used to access sensitive or encrypted data in the report server database. You must either restore the backup key or delete all encrypted content."

These two machines have both "lost" their keys in the past and are recovering them, fixing the problem. However, it seems odd that they both "lost" their keys at the same time, and that this happens every two months or so. Anyone have any ideas why this would be? Below is information about installations:

SQL Server Type: Edition for SQL Server 2005

Build #: 3282 (Cumulative Update 9)

Reporting Services Account: Network Service

What is your Windows password change policy? When maintaining a network, this shouldn't be relevant, although

If the settings for a user account or another workstation are changed (for example, set the SID), the keys become invalid. Is someone trying to change the RS service account? Have the machine names been changed?
