Where can I find information on getting started with Flex / AIR skins?

I have no experience in creating skins, but I have tools for this (Fireworks, etc.). I'm used to doing my best with styles, but I want to get out of shape and start using skins more, especially so that the look and feel of my apps can be ported to other platforms. Where to begin?

Juan Sanchez and Andy Macintosh have just released a great book that details skinning and the common UI prefix:

Creating a visual experience with Flex 3.0

I'm halfway there and it's definitely worth reading - skinning can be a huge pain in the butt without good guidance.

I also read "Creating Visual Experiences" with the Flex 3.0 book and give it two thumbs up for what you want to do. The chapters focus on the development of skins in various programs, one of which is Fireworks.
