Google Calendar iCal feed

I am working on a web portal that has an events section. I created using DDay.iCal iCal "feed" with all events. Is it possible to link to this feed and when clicked, the feed will be automatically added to Google Calendar? (Something similar to RSS feeds, when you click on them you can choose to use Google Reader). Or should I forget about using iCal and start reading about the Google API?

I haven't tried to do the same either; however, remember that Milk seems to be able to put a link on their page that adds their calendar to Google Calendar. You can see it in action here .

From what I can see how this is done is a link to http://www.google.com/calendar/render?cid= [your shared calendar iCal feed URL] . Thus, the user is directed to Google Calendar and is able to add the requested calendar to their list of calendars. The calendar name appears to be taken from the value of the X-WR-CALNAME: " attribute in the frame.

As I said, I have not tested this, so the usual failures and YMMV apply.
