How to speed up printing of Crystal Reports 11?
I am using Crystal Reports 11 (and VB6) to open a report file, load data from an Access database, and either print the report to a printer, or export the report to another .rpt file (for later printing without a database)
Even for small amounts of data, the process is somewhat slow. Profiling showed about 1.5 seconds for three records (one page). For about 500 records on 10 pages, that's 1.7 seconds.
Is it possible to speed up something? Can I customize the data or report?

This is just an idea, but first I'll try to create a view on the server so that CR can access the report data directly, without accessing any connection, filter, or any other side of the user. I read horrible things about CR asks the server multiple times with the same request before displaying the report ...

Seeing that there are no other answers, I'll just post what I really think and I honestly want the Crystal Reports 11 application to be as fast as yours. There are so many suppressed fields and sections in my application that Crystal just takes about a minute to generate any report.
