AoP on Microsoft Compact Framework 3.5

I've tried with Postsharp but their current target implementation is 2.0 and it gets painful to get it to work. Should I deploy my own AoP implementation (I'm thinking of a very VERY basic and utilitarian implementation here)

Or is there an alternative that I am not aware of?

You can look at the list of Eric Bodden , who was taken from fooobar.com/questions/1277171 / ... .

oOo out of the box AOP on CF? You might be a little disappointed.

PostSharp's best answer .: D The problem here is the download link says it:

"However, it is not stable. If you want to try new features and participate in stabilizing the product."

So there might be some hidden pain if you want to use it in production. But they clearly support CF ! I have not tried this yet, so I cannot give an overview.

Eric Bodden's list isn't that hot for the Compact Framework, so this question isn't very similar to this one . I quickly looked through this prior to the PostSharp CTP 1.5 release and I didn't find any out of the box. All other frameworks (including Spring.NET, which this list excludes) seem to require someone to create a port for them. I doubt the port will be very light either given the likely use of either Serialization, Code gen on the fly, Reflection.Emit, or x86 specific calls.

So yes, PostSharp FTW I guess.
