Oracle XE for Linux ...?

Is there an Oracle version of Oracle XE?

I could not find information on the official Oracles website.

Not sure what you mean, but ubuntu has included it in the package manager which makes it easy to install, includes init scripts and whatever else you might need.

It seems a bit gimmicky that they don't provide an x86_64 version; i386 is really only useful for game servers.
