Does Sun HotSpot have Inlining Objects?

I read somewhere that there is an optimization like Object Inlining. It merges two objects together if they have the same lifetime regions and there are many messages between them. And the GC also sees them as one to go from one generation to the next.

But I didn't find any mention of this optimization on java.sun.com to make sure it has HotSpot.
