I found the problem but not the solution, it seems the project I have is actually 12 hive is also set to release a class library, this class library is part of the WSP.

So ... I need to make sure the bin folder is indeed excluded from the build process. I am setting the value in the program files but no response yet ...

Now restarting the server ...

Later: Ok - the fix is to restart the server, for some reason this helped

I had the same problems, but it worked for me to delete all files in bin and obj folder and then restore WSP.

In my case, I was getting some weird errors (can't remember the exact message) when using a Delay sign only

single project option .

I am having the same problem: one solution, multiple projects, one of which is not compiled, uses an object from another project.

I tried to clear the bin and obj folder and also restart the server. I think I will copy the dll files to gac using gacutil.
