How do I use the current audio as an audio input in Quartz Composer?

If I want to create a spectrum renderer of what is currently playing on my speakers (and not on the line), what should I do?

Download and install Wiretap Anywhere from Ambrosia Software.



Wiretap allows you to take any audio outputs from your applications and route them to a virtual audio input that you can use in Quartz Composer, or any other OS X application that uses hardware input.
