Java VM Best Choice for Windows CE
We are using IBM J9 JVM for Win CE. You do not need to be an IBM ISV partner to receive it. You can buy it from IBM partners like the one we use. In my experience IBM J9 is the best - I used it to support MIDP / CDC applications, but the profiles / configurations supported supported MIDP and Personal Profile as well as CLDC and CDC Foundation.
Unlike other opinions, there is no virtual machine choice if you use Google. But I went for J9 because it maintains the corresponding Java interoperability, unlike SuperWaba, which is basically a Java variant, so your Java applications will be less portable.
