ARP Broadcast Response - Could This Cause Problems?

Are there shared computers or OSes that will have network connectivity issues where unicast ARP requests or broadcast ARP responses are not supported? I am providing a public Wi-Fi service and am considering blocking these types of ARP packets. Will this cause connectivity issues for modern clients?

ARP specification was recently updated to RFC 5227 , which refers to the use of gratuitous ARP packets-to "address conflict detection."

If you block the transmission of an ARP reply, this ACD is not possible.

Broadcast ARP is used by some high availability IP takeover schemes to advertise a new MAC address on failover.
