Is it possible to display a dropdown list of multi-selects in a local report in the WebView Report Viewer?
When you create a Reporting Services report and create a multi-valued parameter, a drop-down list appears in the Options Bar with the option to select one or more items.
Is it possible to show this type of control in a local mode report in the web report viewer?
I tried to set ShowParameterPrompts = "true", but the options panel doesn't appear.

Unfortunately no, you cannot get the options bar when using web-based report viewing in local mode. The advantage of local mode is that it does not require a complete installation of Reporting Services, but the disadvantage is that you have to do even more heavy lifting. Local mode will receive data and display it as per the report definition you are designing, but it is your responsibility to go out and receive this data yourself and present it to the report viewer as a dataset. This means you need to execute your SQL when passing any required parameters. The advantage of handling "remote" is that all you really need to do isis to point the control to the URL of the reporting services server and tell it which report you want. The report server and control take care of the rest.
