TinyMCE adds a <pre class = "prettyprint-override"> tag when inserting from Word

I have several Drupal 6 sites that use the WYSIWYG module along with TinyMCE. For one of my sites, when I use the Insert From Word icon, it adds a <pre> with the class "mceItemHidden".

Also, if the text is long enough, it does this weird thing, when I click the Paste button in the Paste from Word window, the text appears in the main TinyMCE window, there is a short pause, and then each paragraph is on the same line, which creates a horizontal scroll bar that as long as the paragraph.

Has anyone experienced this and do you know why this is happening? I tried changing my theme and various WYSIWIG settings and it still happens.

Word insertion is a strange thing. I couldn't tell for sure, but MS seems to tweak it from time to time to make it especially difficult to translate (even though it still shows up well in IE)

You get the same problem in tinyMCE official demo if you can't try updating your FCK editor.

Pasting a word to begin with is a pain in ... It's still a struggle for us even with FCKeditor. It was a fight when we also used Tiny. All those nasty xml and tags were crude in our CSS.

You can check your drupal filters and how the tiny ones sanitize things. I forget where all this is. We used tiny for a while and then switched to FCKeditor. We switched to support for image uploads. Much better than tiny. Anywho ...

Something must have been damaged. I just completely removed TinyMCE from the library directory and removed the WYSIWYG module. I reinstalled everything and everything seems to work (for now).
