Flash menu with submenus and gradient colors?

I am new to flash and want to create a flash menu with submenu. In addition, background colors for menu items should also be gradient images.

Any suggestions where I could find some tutorials?

I am looking for something similar to this

You might want to give Adobe Flex . This is mainly Flash for application developers (assuming you come from an application development background) you may find it easier to create a Flash menu.



However, users require Flash 9 or later, and in earlier versions of Flash 9, the SWF file can be quite large (later versions have better caching support for the Flex framework).
