there is no way to remove the date after setting it! I had to add an ugly button next to it to clear it programmatically ...
Do you have a nicer solution?
You can set editable = "true" if you want to allow the text field to be cleared.
You can also press CTRL on a selected date to deselect it, however, it will probably need more explanation to users than the "ugly clear button".
