Drupal 6 CCK: export / import content types
I'm having a problem with a specific content type. (Every time I try to access a node of this type, I get an error page not found
.) So I thought I would export and re-import to see if it changes something.
I went to admin/content/types/export
and selected the type of content in question. Then I removed this type. Then I went in admin/content/types/import
and put it back in again.
I select <create>
and click import
and I get the following Drupal messages:

Ok, after combining the two snippets (why did you split it? Is there a size limit for posts here?) And installing the two missing CCK modules, I was able to import the content type exactly into my local test instance. Making a node out of it worked and then scanned it.
In short - cannot reproduce: /
So, something else must be wrong with your Drupal instance to call this. I have no idea what it might be, but I would start trying to import a different (simpler) content type to see how your import function usually breaks or just for that particular import.
If the error only occurs for this import, my next attempt will ignore the import issue and try to debug the 404 for the recruiting_form content, as it might be related and may be easier to debug. You can start by posting
$ trace = debug_backtrace () ;
into a function drupal_not_found()
- either var_dump()
its output, or look at it with a debugger. The trace should point to a function that produces a 404.
If you want to fix the import problem, I would start looking for the "illegal selection" error message in your codebase (this usually comes from a generic form validation) and checks the state of affairs there - using a debugger and / or trace instructions, you can determine the cause of this an error that can give us a hint of what happened.
