What's the difference between ASP.NET and PHP hosting costs?

I've heard several times that PHP hosting is much cheaper than ASP.NET. I decided to check it out and went to Google. But there are different categories of hosting (this may or may not be expensive). There is cheap ASP.NET hosting and expensive PHP hosting and vice versa. Therefore, I cannot know for sure if there is a difference between their price. So, is there a big difference between the cost of ASP.NET and PHP hosting?

Usually asp.net hosting cost is higher due to Microsoft and vs linux licensing fees. It's usually $ 5-10 per month more depending on what you get. You get what you pay for, so be careful when looking at hosting. Any hosting that only costs a few dollars a month (less than $ 10) will not provide the same level of service or support that costs more.

I had a good linux hosting experience with Bluehost. Dreamhost is another one, they are more flexible, but I had performance issues.

For Windows hosting, I know rackspace's cloud cloud sites are great for both Linux and windows. I've had problems with them in the past (preparation), but they seem to have taken a lot of things out in the past year.

Good luck finding a place to put your code!

There shouldn't be much difference in terms of server software if you don't have additional capabilities: databases, any supporting software such as analytics or some plugins. That being said, web hosting can be a little more expensive as it is not open source. Ultimately, any Windows hosting will be a little more expensive because you can run a LAMP server for almost nothing.

In my eyes, the main prices are: amount of server space, bandwidth per month, domains, access, etc.
