Performance Designer Dashboard Designer Filter creation error - no filter data found

I am trying to create a filter using PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer. However, after completing the wizard, the Confirmation page displays the following message:

Filtered filter data

Warning 1: The filter was created, but no data was received. To resolve trace follow the steps below. 1. Make sure the data source for this filter is configured correctly. 2. Check the server event log. More information about this problem may be recorded.

The data source is fine ... I used the data source to generate a report on what the filter should filter ... no problem with the report.

Regarding the logs, the only problematic place is when a call is made from PerformancePoint Server (part of a SharePoint group) to SQL Server - Event Viewer on PerformancePoint Server has a long message from which the important part is "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."

Has anyone else had filter issues in PerformancePoint?

This was due to Kerberos checksum limitations that could kill MDX requests. Microsoft has released a hotfix for this issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969083
