SQLite for read-only applications?

Will SQLite work fine for a multi-user read-only application where the database is on a Windows network drive?

I think if you are just reading, then yes. According to the SQLite FAQ, there might be a problem.

Most of the work of SQLite is done in memory. If you have enough memory, SQLite won't do much I / O other than reading the database once.
