Delphi IDE - Alternative CodeRush "Connectors"

I've worked in Delphi 6 and am very used to CodeRush using various useful IDE add-ons. Many of these are now in the IDE itself, or I've managed to replace something else, but one feature that I REGULARLY wish I had in Delphi 2007 is the CodeRush ability that added a bit of "connecting lines" between components that were related to each other (for example, lines showing connections between TDataSets and TDataSources).

Does anyone do something that does this in the new Delphi environment?

Andreas is correct in his comments below ... "I don't think he was referring to structured highlighting that works with source code. He wants" connecting lines "between components in the form designer.

He also says, "As far as I know, there is no such tool for Delphi 2005 or newer," which is a bummer if that's true. (... and if so, what is the best thing to do for Delphi IDE requests?)

I don't think he exists. The best place to create form designer queries is here .

another freeware / opensource option is to look at CNPack , which supports structure highlighting and works well in Delphi 2009. The library contains many other IDE enhancements, some of which are duplicated in other packages like GExperts. I run CNPack and GExperts in both 2009 and 2006 without any problems.

You need Castalia, which works great on my D2007 for structured highlighting. Castalia by Twodesk
