Does Informix have scheduled triggers?

I need an Informix database to update some records on December 31st at 11:59; can Informix do it on a trigger or does it have some kind of scheduler?

I am an Informix noob btw.

I am using informix 11.1 for hp-ux

If you have Informix 11.10 or later, there is a task scheduling tool built into IDS. The search term "scheduler" in the Knowledge Center leads to related information.

If you have earlier versions of IDS, then the object is missing and you must update to get it if it is important to you.



When asking questions about Informix, please provide the version of Informix (at least up to 11.50, preferably 11.50.FC3) and the platform you are running it on (operating system and version number, and sometimes the type of chip). This should be automatic when asking questions about Informix products. (And this is a general comment, not just for you.)
