Open source applications for GPS?

Are there full featured GPS source apps for iPhone, preferably to use Open Street Map to get data? None of the current suggestions work very well with Voiceover on the iPhone, but it would be much easier to modify an existing Voiceover app and then write it from scratch.

The excellent route-me project is open source and uses Open Street Map (among other map providers). It includes a sample application that I believe cannot be called fully functional, but it is fairly easy to extend it to fit most of the functionality of the built-in Maps application.

Sharp Map is a geospatial application platform for .Net. Not sure if anyone tried this on an iPhone.



You might be able to work using mono touch
