Lightbox link not working in IE7

While the lightbox page works fine for me in IE7, I seem to have broken it in my implementation.

I wrote a Lightbox plugin for Blog Mango and everything works fine in Firefox. However, in IE7, the close button does not work. If I'm fast enough to hover over the position where the close button is placed before it snaps into place, the IE status bar displays a "#" link, but clicking or moving the cursor makes the status bar blank - - and of course Nothing happens.

Not that it was necessary, but I quickly did a screencast of the behavior in IE7 . Note that the cursor does not switch to the handle on the close button.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Maybe you should try to use actual version 2.0.4 of Lightbox as a base, there seems to be a few changes in the DOM code, although nothing similar to the error you described is mentioned in the changelog.
