Setting the encoding for connection to Quercus for UTF-8

Now we are going to use Java class in my website developed with PHP and MySQL. I got to know Kirkus and everything worked out well. But the only problem is coding.

Quercus provides ISO8859 default encoding and the whole database in UTF-8 does not display correctly as ???

As a result of the tests, I ran,

We cannot use full UTF-8 on quercus.
For some reason php.ini unicode.semantics doesn't kick.



I have read several blogs that state the same.
