Upgrading Flex Builder 3 Standard to Flex Builder3 Professional

I had three licenses for each, standard Flex Builder 3 as well as Flex Builder Professional. First, I installed Flex Builder 3 standard and entered the license key, it worked. Since the "flex trial" watermark was checked in the standard cartographic library. Then I tried to uninstall Flex Builder 3 standard and install flex builder 3 professional again on the "same machine". But here I am facing a real problem, as soon as I run the exe, the license key is copied from the windows registry file automatically and it behaves like the standard version. Then I tried to use the "manage flexible license" option and use the "upgrade to professional" option. Now, since my key is for "Flex 3 professional" and not "upgrade to Flex 3 professional"it does not accept as a valid key. I have few programs that limit me to reformatting my system.

What should I do now? Please, help.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to JStriedl. As you rightly said, adobe only has a solution to this problem. I got the opportunity to speak with Matt Shotin and he figured it out.

There is a license.properties file that contains this license information. Usually its in "C: PreogramFiles / Adobe / Flex". You just need to delete this file. When you restart Flex Builder, you can provide your desired license file and lo, which works :)

Please let me know if anyone is still facing any issue in this regard. I will try to help.

something similar to something you might want to click on Adobe support?

On Windows XP, the path for license.properties looks like this: C: \ Documents and Settings \ All Users \ Application Data \ Adobe \ Flex If things are different for you, try your Windows login ID instead of "All Users" in the above path ...
