SQL Server Developer License and CAL

I need to test my product with a SQL Server database. Based on my search, I know that I need to master the Developer Edition. I need to know if my team needs 10 CALs or 10 developer licenses to access the database to test?

I've searched enough on the net but couldn't find a direct answer.

My test setup will look like SQL Server Developer Edition will be installed on a test QA machine and my team will connect to that machine to test our product.

Thanks, ramanr

For SQL Server 2008 Developer Microsoft Licensing Page :

You must purchase a license for each user that you authorize to obtain or use the software. You can install any number of copies on any number of devices for access and use by one user for development, development, testing and demonstration of the program. Only licensed users can access the software.

They also indicate:

Demonstration. In addition to the licensed user, anyone who has access to your intranet may install and use copies of the software to demonstrate the use of your programs through the software.

SQL Server 2005 ISTR is similar: for example, one instance per developer.

In addition to Chris J's answer, licensing also provides:

II) Additional licensing requirements and / or use rights.

User testing. Your end users can access the software to conduct acceptance testing of your programs.
