.Htaccess redirection affects Google Analytics

I am developing a website and its root content is in the / home / folder.

How am I going to use htaccess redirection to "push" visitors from the root folder to the / home folder, my question is:

Will the HTTP header get lost on redirects? I mean, if a visitor comes from www.onesite.com and redirects a link to www.mysite.com, I am redirected to www.mysite.com/home. Google Analytics code, will it catch up with a referrer like www.onesite.com or www.mysite.com?

thank

This question has been asked before:

Will a 302 redirect support a referent string?

Does 301 redirect always support referrer?

Short answer. May be,

Hopefully this doesn't get labeled as "not constructive", but I think this will be your original website (www.mysite.com), however you can analyze referrals at www.mysite.com instead of / at home.
