How is the international SMS long number?

The organization I work for wants to be able to send SMS all over the world and there seem to be many providers for that. However, we also want users to be able to select globally, which is more complicated.

I understand that long codes are international and at first I thought that we could just get one long code and be able to receive disclaimers all over the world. However, after talking to someone at Clickatell, I found that they sell long codes in ranges that cover different networks in different countries. This would mean that we would have to have several long codes that are messy and out of our budget.

I study high and low, struggling to figure it all out, no luck. Can anyone give me some idea of ​​how long numbers work? Is the long digit available depending on who you buy it with? Is it even possible one global long number?
