Implementing changes in TFS Visual Studio 2013

I have read several articles but my English is not too harsh and I am still confused.

I postponed the changes. Is it possible to restore these changes to the local repository?

I found the changes in the shelf and opened. Than I have two checkboxes: a) Restore work items and registration notes; b) Save the shelves on the server.

If I click "Unshelve", what happens? Revert changes? What is the purpose of these checkboxes?

a) Restore work items and check-in notes;

When you postpone changes, it's like doing a checkout, so you can postpone files and tags on the desktop and add check-in notes that you will use if you do check-in. so a shelveset will be created and any comments you add and any related items will be saved with a shelf. when you are not later used, files will be checked into your workspace and associated work items, and comments will be populated in the pending changes window

b) Preserve shelveset on the server.

when you select this option, the files will be restored to your workspace, but the shelves will remain on the server. by checking this box, you can exclude the changes and make changes to the files, if you decide that the changes you made are not required, you can undo the pending changes and restore the same shelves that were saved on the server again.
