How can I deploy a Windows Phone 8.1 app?
I just updated my Visual Studio Professional 2013 with Update 2 RC. I tried a simple application. I want to release and click the build button in projects, but that doesn't work for generating the xxxx.appx file. It creates xxx.exe and other files.
How can I create an .appx package in 8.1?

Similar to Windows Phone 8.0 for Windows Phone Store 8.1 apps, there is no no.xap file generated after running the store.Windows phone store. 8.1 apps are deployed through Windows Store with an .appx file. So you need to right click on in the project, go to the store, create an app package. You won't get xap but appx which is the new xap.
