ERROR: Compilation failed for package "Rcpp

I am getting the following error when I try to install the plyr package, I tried some of the suggested solutions in other threads, but they don't seem to work. I recently updated the R and R studios version on the server

> install.packages("plyr")

The problem was resolved after updating the RAM on my server, the package was not installed because there is not enough memory on the server.
