Highlight countries in Google Map for ios and android

I am trying to achieve a country highlight on the map.

But I'm looking for an api that works for both ios and android.

I was looking for google map api version 1.8.1.

Achieve this only by drawing a polygon on a map for specific countries? Is there any other good way to achieve this?
