How many improvements to expect to use only flow-through ICE and ICE

Just read this article , which made me curious about the benefits in terms of speeding up the negotiation phase. I am developing an application in which I am using third party utilities that only uses ICE but will eventually update before ICE expires in the next version. The update will require quite a lot of code refactoring, so I would like you to share your experience / tests on this.
