Chrome crash in Android Studio Emulator when using API 24 Nougat

When using Android Studio, a virtual device that has API 24 (Nougat) seems to have problems connecting to the internet. Chrome crashed and no pages could be loaded. API 23 devices seem to connect fine without issue, so this only seems to be an issue with API 24.

Does anyone know how to fix this connection issue when launching API24 virtual device in Android Studio?
