2D overlap diagram
Does anyone know of an API that will allow me to do something like this. This will require some kind of interactivity.
- scaling
- change the second dimension angle of the axis
I have looked at JFreeChart , but I don't see an example of doing a 2D overlap chart.

I did it quite recently. Quite simple, really. I can send you the code to draw the base grid, and the rest is just a series of histograms (polygons) with an offset between each layer.

Maybe Chart3D could be what you're after (not free though)
A simpler and more free solution could be SpiceChart 3D line .
